CompCup

When starting CompCup I felt that it was needed in the market today. There is almost no other product like CompCup. This could be something that even expands into other projects, like food compartments etc. I initially started it because I would literally have tons and tons of cups in my house that just cluttered my cabinets. I thought to myself that it would be nice to have one or two cups that are nice and can hold multiple liquids. So, I started tracking out the design and saw that it might not be that difficult to do in the first place.

The only error I could see happening is having hot and cold liquids in there at the same time. That is really important for me to figure out, because those are the main liquids, I would use the cup for. In the morning I would need to put my hot coffee and have water in CompCup. I figured once I had the prototype it would be okay to test out. There could also be some other bumps in the road we could face. Would people even want this cup? Would it become useful or just another trend cup that people would buy and forget about? Since there is nothing like this on the market today it would be a really good product to introduce.

Target Market for CompCup

My target market for CompCup would be college aged students and young adults. This is because they are more easily adaptable to new products. They love to have and try the newest things and if they really love something they will buy more of it. I also think CompCup could be really popular with mom and teachers. For moms, they are always carrying and toting around things 24/7. CompCup could be one less thing that they have to carry around. They could put their child’s drink in there along with their own. For teachers, they go almost 8 hours a day not being able to leave their classroom. If they do get a chance to leave their classroom, they only have the cafeteria and vending machines. So, with CompCup they could have more than one drink a cup and it would be much easier for them to bring drinks from home.

I think there could be a lot more people that like the product. It could be good for outdoorsy people going camping and hiking, or even people that are just going to be gone all day. There are multiple reason someone could want or need CompCup.

Goals

My goal with CompCup is in about five years I want to start expanding the product lineup. I want to be able to have all kinds of different colors or designs for people so they can always find what best suits them. I would also like to expand into some different products maybe like food containers and cooler. There are all kinds of possibilities and more. Overall, I think CompCup could be such a great business to start and even could be super popular.
